-
Review Our Adoption Fees
Our adoption fees and everything included are listed here (adoption fees)
-
Be At Least 21 Years of Age
We require at least 1 person on the adoption contract to be over 21 years of age as the legal owner of our adopted pets.
-
Be Able to eSign Contract Documents Electronically
Our adoption paperwork process is online. You must be able to send/receive emails, receive text messages, and eSign documents to adopt from our shelter.
-
Check Your Lease or HOA For Pet Restrictions
Please check and receive the needed approvals from your landlord or Home Owners Association prior to submitting the application.
-
Have Proof of Vaccines & Spay/Neuter for Existing Pets
Existing household pets must be up to date on their vetting before introducing a new member to the family. This is for everyone’s protection.
-
All Residents in Your Home Must Be in Agreement to Adopt
It is important that the entire household is in agreement to adopt a new cat. For this reason, we do not allow surprise gift kittens. Every member of the household will also be required to participate in the adoption process and meet and greets with your new pet.
-
Be Prepared to Adopt a Pair of Kittens If You Do Not Have Pets
Our kitten adoption policy is to adopt them in pairs or to a household that already has a young and playful cat. Kittens need friends to help them grow into well-socialized cats.
-
Please Check Our Adoption Fees Prior to Submitting The Application
You may find our adoption fees and everything included listed here.
-
Be Prepared to Discuss your Application With Our Adoption Screener
After you submit your application, you will receive an email that matches you to your adoption screener volunteer. Our volunteer will be responsible to screen your application, check references/vet references, and explain the adoption process to you. Please direct all of your questions to the adoption screener assigned to you.
-
Be Prepared For a Video Meet and Greet with the Foster Parent
After our adoption screener matches you to the perfect cat or kittens, you will be contacted by the foster parent for a video meet and greet. This is your time to get to know the cats and ask the foster parent as many questions as you have about your potential new family members.
-
Bring a Carrier with you When Picking up Your Cat
After the meet and greet, please do bring a carrier with you to be able to pick up your cat and bring them home. We do offer 14 days of medications (depending on your location) and a 30-day evaluation return period. Ask your application screener for details.
-
Pay and eSign Online
Your adoption fee, your adoption contract, and your new pet’s medical history will be sent to you electronically. You can do everything from your smartphone!
-
Be Prepared to Assume Vet/Medical Responsibility
Please be sure you are able to assume medical care for your new pet. All of our cats and kittens have been to the vet and have had an exam and given the needed medications while in foster care. And while the majority of our cats and kittens remain healthy post-adoption, there are no guarantees of health, and the new owners must be prepared to assume medical responsibility for their new pet.
