Spay/Neuter and Vaccinations
All FFF cats are spayed or neutered before adoption. After adoption, you are responsible for your cat’s ongoing veterinary care, including any remaining vaccinations and future boosters. FFF does not provide vaccinations after adoption. Please review your cat’s medical records with your veterinarian to schedule follow-up care.

Forever Fortunate Felines is a fully foster-based cat rescue serving Chicagoland. Visits take place in foster homes or at participating cat cafés, Petco stores and PetSmart stores. Check each cat’s listing and coordinate with our adoption team for the meeting location and arrangements. FFF does not operate a central walk-in shelter.

Davonte (Vaughn)
Are you looking for just a little spice in your life? Do you enjoy being jumpscared in your own home? Are you looking for a CAT cat? If you answered yes, then your answer is Vaughn! Vaughn is an intelligent, energetic, and (eventually) sweet young dude. Will he like you at first? No. Will he like you eventually? Yes. In fact, it doesn't take long for him to LOVE you. Vaughn needs some patience for the first couple weeks in a new home, which is no surprise after all the changes he's experienced in the last year. He will be quick to tell you to back off... and then will be quick to call you back for more attention. His adoration is hard-earned but completely worth it. Once Vaughn settles in, he becomes a curious lovebug who wants to be near you or on your lap at all times. He does enjoy some pets and scratches, but mostly he just wants to be undisturbed in your lap! When you leave your home, he'll let you know he missed you by yelling as soon as you walk through your door. When he's not sleeping or solving treat puzzles, Vaughn wants to play with you, toys, and other cats in the home. He frequently gets the zoomies and likes to charge at people from his hiding spots. Although he likes other cats after a slow introduction, he may have some trouble recognizing when they don't want to play anymore. He would likely do best as an only cat with regular playtimes or with other highly active cats. Do you feel a connection with this misunderstood boy?
